Boxer

The Boxers are high-energy dogs who require a lot of exercise. Despite their size, Boxers are not "outdoor dogs."
Because of their short noses and short hair, they are uncomfortable in hot and cold weather and must be kept as house dogs.
Boxers mature slowly and continue to act like rambunctious puppies for many years.
Boxers are intelligent, high-energy, playful dogs who like to keep themselves busy. Their temperament is a reflection of their ancestry.
They prefer to be with their owners and are devoted pets who will fiercely protect their family and home from intruders.
Only a few boxers bark incessantly. If a boxer barks, there's a good reason for it.
Many boxers, on the other hand, are vocal and make a growling noise that is really just the dog's way of communicating.

Every day, your Boxer will require at least two hours of exercise.
This should be divided into several walks with plenty of sniffing and exploring opportunities.
You should also allow your Boxer plenty of time to exercise off leash somewhere safe so that they can run around.
Boxer dogs are devoted, affectionate, energetic, and require a lot of attention. They're also intelligent, which means they can be obstinate.
They can, however, be very well-behaved with the proper training.  Boxers aren't particularly aggressive or vicious, despite their intimidating appearance.
They are good watchdogs because they are focused on their loved ones. A Boxer will alert you if something is wrong,
but because they enjoy being around people, they don't make the best guard dogs unless they've been trained to do so.
The Boxer should do well on a high-quality dog food, whether commercially manufactured or home-prepared under the supervision and approval of your veterinarian.
Any diet should be age-appropriate for the dog (puppy, adult, or senior). Some dogs are prone to becoming overweight,
so keep an eye on your dog's calorie intake and weight level. Treats can be a valuable training aid, but giving too many can lead to obesity.
Discover which human foods are suitable for dogs and which are not. If you have any concerns about your dog's weight or diet,
consult with your veterinarian. At all times, clean, fresh water should be available.
The short, shiny coat of the Boxer requires very little grooming.
Once or twice a week, a good once-over with a rubber curry-brush or hound glove should keep him looking his best.
The Boxer is a clean dog who only needs a bath every now and then. His nails should be trimmed at least once a month unless they are naturally worn down on a hard surface,
and his teeth should be brushed frequently daily if possible to prevent tartar buildup.
